Owner & Chef
After practicing law for a few years, Niki decided to follow her passion for cooking and went to culinary school. She received her culinary training at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts – Hollywood, and loved every minute of it! She’s had a major love for cooking since she was a kid, and remembers cooking crepes for her family and reading cookbooks as a child. She loves to cook, entertain, and teach…and her mission was to combine all three with the opening of her business. She started EATZ with the goal of giving each student a truly hands-on cooking experience. Not only does she want everyone to cook as much as possible during class, she also wants to bring the joy of cooking to the classroom by encouraging her students to experiment and have fun with the cooking process. Come meet her at EATZ and awaken your inner chef!
Shari grew up working in every famous pizza joint in Chicago – from Connie’s to Rosati’s to Giordanos – then went on to earn a degree in Health and Nutrition at Southern Illinois University and taught health at a middle school for six years. A self taught chef, everyday is a new experiment in her culinary journey and her favorite past time is going out to dinner in Los Angeles and having great wine. She began working with Niki at EATZ as a sous chef in 2009 and started teaching and creating her own classes in 2011 including Whiskey A Go Go and Vegan Comfort Foods. At EATZ, Shari is excited to combine her love for teaching and passion for nutrition and food into a creative journey through the world of culinary education. Come join her for some laughs and wine while you cook a great meal together at EATZ!
